On January 28, 2017, the University of West Florida will celebrate their 11th year of being an All Steinway School – an honor their program director says has made a monumental difference for the institution.

“For anyone who knows pianos, Steinways are the best of the best,” said junior Jonathan Adams. “The sound is better, the acoustics are better, the overall quality is just better.”

The school was able to improve their teaching and attract more prestigious guest artists thanks to a gift in 2007 from a donor in remembrance of her husband’s love of the Steinway piano. “It really helps when we are inviting guest artists,” piano program director Hedi Salanski-Rubardt said, “because very distinguished artists are Steinway Artists…”

There will be a free concert at the Music Hall at the UWF Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 pm on January 28th. Tickets are available at the CFPA Box Office.
